When you think of Dawson from Dawson’s Creek and The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (to use their full name) ‘cool’ is not a word that springs to mind.
But this new unofficial reboot, in the form of a short film by director James Khan, is undeniably cool and, amazingly, dark.
In the film, the Power Rangers are defunct and Rocky (James Van Der Beek) has turned his back on them and joined the Machine Empire, who control society. His mission is to track down Tommy, who he believes has executed the other Rangers.
If you want to see your childhood friends snorting coke and blowing people’s brains out, then this is the film for you.
It might be time to throw away those pyjamas…
