Aston Martin. Alexander McQueen. Vertu. All luxury British labels that most of us don't have in our drive/wardrobe/pocket. Yet that doesn't stop us lusting after the latter's latest (and dare we say, affordable) accessory.
Vertu has teamed up with the audio giant Bang & Olufsen to create a set a headphones that will soon cup the ears of footballers, high fliers and other well-to-do types that lust for finely-crafted headphones that won't warp your tracks (we're looking at you, Beats).
The HP-1V headphones are a marriage of Vertu's preference for the finest materials and B&O's audio excellence: crafted out of aircraft-grade aluminium, the headphones smother the wearer with a headband and earpieces of hand-stitched lamb's leather and memory foam.
The finely balanced sound is delivered from B&O's high-quality 40mm neodymium drivers, while practical additions include an in-line microphone and music control.
Set to cost £490 (a snip compared to their phones, which start at a neat £4,000), you can pick up a pair of the V headphones from Vertu stores today.
