Throughout your life you’ve probably been baffled by certain people being older than others.
You know, like the fact that Brad Pitt is more than three months older than Nigel Farage.
Or perhaps Prince Harry being more than a year older than Charlie Adam is more your thing.
If real people were confusing enough, it gets even worse when you move onto fictional characters.
Not only do you have to figure out how old the creators of their show intended them to be, but you have to account for when the programme in question is theoretically set.
For example, Homer Simpson’s official date of birth, based on his driving licence in an episode of The Simpsons, is May 12, 1956. That makes him a similar age to some of the children in Mad Men, which is set in the 1960s.
Below are 14 pairs of TV characters. All you have to do is figure out which of the two is older, based on their actual date of birth, discovered through the painstaking research of fans who have confirmed their ages based on deduction from watching every episode of the respective shows over and over again. Good luck!
