We've never purchased a selfie stick. We've neither the inclination, nor do we possess the requisite levels of narcissism.

However, we can almost guarantee that somewhere on the flimsy packaging there'll be one of those patronising warning stickers reading: "Not for use while operating heavy machinery". Probably.

And if there isn't, there needs to be. In massive letters. Letters so massive that Alex Lopatnyuk will be able to read them.

So that he doesn't do this again.
