This retired racehorse has absolutely zero chill

Shamrock is a twat.

So says the retired racehorses’s traumatised owner, who found out the hard way that while you can take the horse out the competition, you most definitely can’t take the competition out of the horse.

Semi-amateur rider Nick Bull was out for what was supposed to be a relaxing countryside trot, but Shamrock – the twat – had other ideas. In a slickly-edited PoV GoPro video you can deduce from Nick’s many “whoah’s” that things are taking a more high-octane turn than he’d anticipated.

As the pleas (and swear words) ramp up, so does Shamrock’s speed, until he might as well be running the final furlong at Aintree.

“Shamrock is a retired race horse,” Nick writes in the hilarious video’s description. “On this day, he forgot he was retired, or that I'm not that experienced a rider and decided to take me for the ride of my life. Please excuse the bad language and girly screams at the end…”

Luckily, it doesn’t sound like rider or horse picked up any serious injuries, although it’s fair to say it doesn’t end well for poor Nick.
