Good news Garrett fans, Edios Montreal's troubled reboot of the original stealth'em'up Thief has finally got an European release date of 28 February 2014.
Some new box art and a trailer have also snuck onto the web, developing the context of Garrett's new adventures. Hammerites and Pagans don't make a surprise appearance, replaced instead by the somewhat heavier themes of social unrest, plague and the crushing grip of the Baron. Think Robin Hood, but with more steampunk and less tights.
We're keeping everything crossed that this latest Thief captures some of the magic of the classic stealth instalments of the old. Are fans of the original series looking forward to this new title? Let us know in the comments below.
