The fleshy lobe. The speckled skin, complete with a network of intricate veins... it has pores for goodness' sake.
Rest assured, artist Sarah Sitkin hasn't gone full Van Gogh to create what is easily the most disturbing phone case ever conceived.
The Los Angeles-based artist specialises in creating unsettlingly life-like sculptures, using waxes and resins to achieve a finish that we still can't quite believe isn't real. Word to the wise, don't scroll through her Instagram account just before bed.
Commissioned for an Australian buyer, you'll have to get in touch with Sitkin if you fancy getting one yourself. Good luck fitting it in your pocket - but we're sure the reception sounds great.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
