The Apollo Moonwatch

Chronicling the date through celestial means may sound very Stonehenge, but this hasn’t stopped one designer from imagining a futuristic wristwatch with the face of the moon at its core.

That individual is Juan Restrepo, and the multifunctioning concept we mention is one that, using the same inner clogs as the traditional dial, permits any wearer to keep an eye on the varying crescents of the lunar surface, mixing geekdom with modishness.

For those who know the Columbia-born and US-raised Restrepo, his merging of interstellar insight and modern design should be of scant surprise - his father is a scientist and his mother is an artist.

No word on a real release for this beauty as yet, but we’ll clearly be over the moon when there is.
