Striking Comic Book Character Mosaics

It would be very reasonable to assume that in this infinitely various and extraordinary world of ours, bathroom tiles and grouting are among the most boring things ever to have existed.

It would be reasonable to assume that if it weren’t for New York and Vancouver based artist Jason Dussault, who has created some very interesting mosaics from those very things, with a little paint, resin and vinyl thrown in.

The incredibly striking and intricate images of comic book characters, including LEGO Batman, are currently on show at the Hoerle-Guggenheim Gallery in New York.

One day these mosaics will be studied like ones in Pompeii. Possibly.
