The assassins are back and they're here to eat cake. You'd think it wouldn't be a good diet for scaling walls, but what do we know.
Ubisoft has finally lifted the veil a little higher on the latest instalment of their wildly successful Assassin's Creed series, dropping two new trailers to whet the appetite of prospective city-climbers: one detailing the context of the new adventure, the other showing off the game's action muscles.
Unity says goodbye to ships and swashbuckling (sorry pirate fans), shifting the game's narrative to the streets of 18th Century Paris. Players take control of Arno, a young Master Assassin looking to expose the sinister masterminds manipulating the course of the French Revolution. We're not the betting type, but we'd stake most of our possessions and vital organs on those shadowy figures having some connection to the Illuminati...
From bouncing over buildings to sticking swords through bad guys in glorious slow motion, Assassin's Creed Unity is shaping up to be one of the most exciting titles of the year. We'll have to wait until 28 October to see if it lives up to these gorgeous trailers.
