Sleek Functional iPhone 6 Case

Roughly 24 hours after Apple lift the veil on their latest iGadget, the press releases start doing the rounds for the corrresponding wave of third party accessories. You know the kind. "New iPhone cases!", "3D printed bespoke cradles", "Indestructible iPhone armour!". It's taken us a few months of searching, but we've finally found one worth writing about. And yes, of course it's from Japan.

This sleek slither of metal is the Claustrum Flap6 - a stainless steel sleeve that helps overcome one of the new iPhone's most frustrating design elements: its size. A drawback of the gorgeous 4.7-inch HD display of the iPhone 6 is the feeling of fear that grips users whenever they try to poke around the screen with one hand; it's so large you can't help but feel you're about to let the whole thing slide between your fingers when reaching for the top corners of the screen.

Which is where the Flap6 comes in. A simple kickstand sits in the middle of the case, providing a neat anchor for the fingers of your holding hand. It doesn't add bulk to the svelte design of the phone, and nor does it look ugly as sin. In addition to giving you some confidence in your one-handed typing, it allows you to prop the phone up for watching videos.

Available in a range of metallic finishes (except gold, you monster) you'll have to ship one of these slim beauties in from Tokyo for around £40. There are even versions for the iPhone 5 as well, for you retro tech kids out there. At least there won't be much of a weight charge on the shipping?
