Nintendo are about to make your sock draw a lot more entertaining.
Having previously shied away from allowing the Europeans to get their hands on official branded t-shirts and keychains, Nintendo's European website has made an about turn and added a merchandise channel to its online store. Far from selling out, we're glad that the Japanese gaming giant are having a bit of fun with their franchises.
The clothing and accessories section allows fans to deck themselves out in all manner of Mario-themed paraphernalia, while the console accessory and game guide sections are pretty self explanatory. For die-hard Nintendees looking to turn their coffee tables into gaming shrines, an official figurines collection features some rather brilliant pint-sized heroes.
Our favourites from the new offerings are below. Head over to the Nintendo site for the full collection.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
