Blackgate is under new management, and Batman is swooping on to handheld.
Last week we brought you the news of the Batman: Arkham Origins trailer reveal at Gamescom, and now the ever-busy Batman is making his handheld debut with Arkham Origins Blackgate, the Origins companion soon to be available on Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita.
Set just after the events in Arkham Origins, the game sees an uprising at Arkham Asylum, with all employees taken hostage by a raft of killers, crooks and Batman's biggest enemies. The trailer features both the 2.5D graphics and comic-book style cut-scenes, along with Batman's first flirty meeting with Catwoman. Though it's never going to be as sleek and shiny as its Xbox 360/PS3 cousin, Blackgate incorporates grappling, gliding, crouching and climbing from the main console game, along with addictive gadgets like the batarang and explosive gel.
A must for any ardent Batman fans sporting a handheld, still wiping away the rage tears from the recent 'Batfleck' news...
Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is out worldwide on 25th October, alongside Batman: Arkham Origins
