Destiny is fast becoming the gaming equivalent of the proverbial bus service: you wait years for a glimpse of the one of the biggest titles of 2014, and then two come along at once.
Hot on the heels of last week's reveal of the classes you'll be able to play in Bungie's intergalactic team-based shoot'em'up comes a new extended trailer. To bring you up to speed, Destiny is set to be the FPS event of the year: Made by the studio responsible for Halo, Destiny casts players as guardians of the last city on Earth. With a host of powers, you'll traverse ancient ruins set amongst the red dunes of Mars and jungles of Venus, battling humanity’s enemies in an effort to reclaim what was lost during the collapse of mankind’s Golden Age.
The following gameplay shows off the manic action offered by a Strike, one form of the title's many cooperative missions. The Strike in question is titled The Devils' Lair, offering a variety of squad chaos and frantic gunfight action. We can't wait.
Destiny arrives 9 September
