The iPad 3 -- set to be revealed on Wednesday -- could be called the iPad HD, according to leaked part listings from case manufacturers, Gizmodo reports.
The gadget site has come across an inventory sheet from accessories manufacturer Griffin and tech experts Belkin, that uses the new name for the latest iPad. It lists a number of colour options for an 'IntelliCase for iPad HD (3)'.
It will have a Retina Display with twice the iPad 2's resolution and a greater pixel density than a 1080p HD TV.
Gizmodo says: "Despite Apple being legendarily closely guarded about its product name and specs prior to launch, some manufacturers are tipped off just before the big day. With the next iPad event just five days away, Apple may have warned case makers so they can have products ready for launch."
The screen is thought to be the same size as the iPad 2.
Apple are holding their press event in San Francisco on Wednesday March 7.
