We're not sure - but this video edit from Richard Vezina, flawlessly managing to insert Lynchian hallmarks into the 1980 horror film, is a tour de force of weirdness to say the least: Dune, Blue Velvet and Eraserhead are just some of the works that manage to ramp up the creepy factor.

The masterwork follows on from last year's similar mashup which showed what it might have looked like had Lynch directed Return of the Jedi, only this edit goes above and beyond by splicing footage from various films. Vezina has clearly put some hours in.
