Could Katy Perry bring about world peace between North Korea and the US?
The Interview
The pair star as two high-flying entertainment TV guys who manage to land an unexpected interview with dictator Kim Jong-un, and it’s not long before they’re unwillingly hired by US spooks to “take out” the supposed tyrant, leading to spy gadgets, intrigue and myriad innuendos.
Not that North Korea officials are the only ones in for a ribbing. Leaving no satirical stone unturned (the last trailer hinted at Matthew McConaughey getting intimate with a goat), the wryly funny jokes take aim at everyone from Katy Perry to Lindsay Lohan.
Let’s hope this goes nuclear – in a comedic sense, of course.
The Interview is in UK cinemas from 6 February
