Gorillas rock. It's simple maths. Gorillas that walk like humans rock even harder.
Check out this big chap. The silverback called Ambam, 21, has been filmed casually strolling around Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent.
Phil Ridges, gorilla keeper, told The Telegraph: "Ambam’s father Bitam used to display the same behaviour if he had handfuls of food to carry. All gorillas can do it to some extent but we haven’t got any who do it like Ambam. We think he might use it to get a height advantage to look over the wall when keepers come to feed him and standing up can also help him in looking for food generally in his enclosure as it gives him a better vantage point."
Ambam was born at Port Lympne’s sister park, Howletts. Both parks are dedicated to protecting rare species and are managed by an international conservation charity called The Aspinall Foundation (TAF). You can adopt a gorilla from as little as £3 per month at www.aspinallfoundation.org
