First Battlecry trailer revealed

Imagine a world without gunpowder, where bullets and bombs have been banned and scores are settled with swords and bows. On second thoughts, stop imagining and allow the new Battlecry trailer to bring it to life for you.

Set in a steampunk future envisioned by Viktor Antonov (Half-Life 2, Dishonored), Battlecry is a new multiplayer action combat game with a notable lack of explosions.

Following a cataclysmic world war at the dawn of the 20th century that sees gunpowder outlawed, all conflicts in this alternative future are settled head-on by elite teams of chosen warriors in sanctioned WarZones.

Players will choose a faction, arm up their warrior and unlock new abilities in classic ranking style in what promises to be a welcome depart from the multiplayer norm.

With more to be revealed at this June's E3, and a beta set to start on PCs in 2015, you'll have to make do with the trailer for now.
