If there’s one thing worse than a first Tinder date, it’s having it live Tweeted by alt music hero Father John Misty.
A rare occurrence sure, but it actually happened to one unsuspecting couple in LA yesterday.
Seated in a restaurant, Misty spotted what he believed was a swipe-activated tryst going up in flames before his eyes. The hipster’s singer/songwriter of choice proceeded to get cozy, bend an ear and give his 53,000 Twitter followers the play-by-play action...
So...
Was Misty playing us all along, inventing a meta Tinder date to highlight the pitfalls and cliches of 21st century first date chatter between sexes? Did he just make that last one up? Or were the pair actually going at it over a glutenous dessert? If it's the latter, it might explain why he stopped Tweeting.
