Forget AK47s, mercenary armies and heavy metal - Far Cry is changing its tune for something a little more stick, stones and rock'n'roll.
Set to arrive on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 23 February, Primal sees players assume the role of Takkar, a "seasoned hunter and the last surviving member of his hunting group" bidding to survive in the Stone Age.
The new trailer reveals the brutality of that lifestyle, with a range of sharpened edges plunged into the soft fleshy bits of our earliest ancestors - all in the name of survival/domination.
Looking for something a bit different to your run-of-the-mill shooter for 2016? Primal is almost certainly it.
