Before 2001, if you'd played the average teen a soundtrack of chanting monks and a stirring string orchestra, they'd have probably cocked an eyebrow and mutter something about Classic FM being for "grandads". Odd then, that those same sounds that conclude the electrifying launch trailer for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will send that same teen (and us) into a fit of fist-clenching giggles.
Thirteen years after he set about saving the universe, John-117 brings his finest moments (and some of the less fine ones) to the Xbox One in a remastered, repolished, four game collection. Featuring all of Master Chief's titles, the pack also bundles in over 100 of the series' multiplayer maps (and no, we can't remember all of them either) and a beta preview of next year's Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer.
In summary, if you like Halo, you're going to go nuts for the next two minutes of shiny montage. If you're not, you'll still probably be quite impressed.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection arrives on Xbox One on 11 November
