We've heard of a drive-thru burger, but this is ridiculous.
A group of Iranian designers have invented a device which enables you to cook a burger via the heat produced from your car exhaust.
They proclaim: "Your car exhaust is a barbeque now. Stop the car when you are hungry, install the device to the exhaust and back to drive - you'll have a hamburger in no time."
They claim that this will save the fuel used in normal cooking, and ensure that energy from your car doesn't go to waste. The smoke and noxious gases will apparently be diverted away from the actual meat, so that you don't get a nice carbon monoxide topping to go with your quarter pounder.
The design is currently 'a bit of fun' and no prototype exists, but someone needs to put their foot down and get this cooking.

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
