Unlike the revolutionary and transformative machines they drive, the humble computer mouse hasn’t evolved a great deal over the years. Until now.
Some dead clever techy types at BMW Designworks USA and Thermaltake have teamed up a smorgasbord of brain cells to develop and bring to life the computer mouse to end all computer mouses.
Unsnappily titled Level 10 M, the mouse has already got gamers reciting all manner of critical hosannas. Constructed from state-of-the-art alloy and pierced with holes to allow the sweaty-of-palm gamer to continue their quest into fantasy land, it features five programmable keys, a Z key, plus two regular keys.
Its height can be customised and it’s available in four colours (Diamond Black, Iron White, Military Green and Blazing Red). The distinctive design – all ergonomic curves and futuristic wizardry - will go on sale for around £60.

He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
