Is nothing real in Westeros anymore?

Wait - before you go giving us your take on the five series so far, we’re not referring to rumours of the offed Ned Stark and Jon Snow somehow making a return for the next season. It's something much more eye-opening.

Peeling away the superficial, digitally layered world of Westeros, the show’s VFX makers at Rodeo have released another video to show how so much of what we see in the HBO show is barely more than bytes of data bashed into a keyboard in by some computer whizz. Okay, so we always knew the giant pyramids were fake, but it makes for hard watching all the same. A few bits of Styrofoam wouldn't go amiss.

Still, at least Game of Thrones nuts can find a crumb of comfort in knowing at least the human characters are real. Well, besides The Mountain, obviously. Nobody has muscles that large. Wait, what?

Pour a chalice of mead. You're going to need a stiff drink after watching this.
