Are you frustrated by the lack of interactivity from your rifle’s current scope provider? Ever wanted take your iPhone into battle? Well now you can, thanks to the Inteliscope tactical rifle adapter and app! Wait, what?
This unique application of your iPhone comes from Inteliscope, a newly formed company from Idaho, USA. The Inteliscope mount lets you attach your iPhone to “any firearm with a Picatinny (Mil-STD-1913) or Weaver tactical rail” – think of it as a purpose-specific camera stand, but more… lethal.
An accompanying app transforms your humble iPhone into an interactive scope, providing information on wind direction, ballistics and firearm data and a variety of crosshair and zoom options. You can also record your shots, resulting in some of the dullest YouTube material ever.
A key selling point of the Inteliscope is its handy feature to allow the user to peek round corners or over obstacles without putting themselves in the line of fire. We’ve nudged this in the direction of the MOD, but no response.
Inteliscope are taking orders for a June launch, priced at $69.99. We’ll just stick to Angry Birds.
