Amazing Reversible Train Seats

There are many things that you cross your fingers and hope for when boarding a train: that you get a window seat, maybe a table, that you're not next to a strange person, or someone who decides to broadcast their music to the carriage and/or spend the whole journey talking on their phone. Actually, getting a seat at all is generally a triumph.

But the main issue for many people is whether they'll manage to be facing in the direction of travel, as moving backwards can cause motion sickness for some.

Fortunately, if you're in Japan, worry no more, as they have pioneered these brilliant reversible seats. When the train reaches its terminus, they all simple flip round, ready to go and carry you forward to your destination. Simple, yet extremely useful.

Now, if they could just invent the auto phone mute and the weirdo ejector seat, then rail travel would surely dominate forever.
