Colombia now, where a team of thieves have had to ditch their stolen goods when their getaway donkey made too much noise, alerting cops.
First the crooks stole the donkey to use as their getaway "vehicle". They then proceeded to a local store in the north Caribbean town of Juan de Acosta. At 2am they took steal rum, oil, rice, cans of tuna and sardines from the shop and loaded them all onto the awaiting beast.
Alas, the 10-year-old donkey named Xavi wasn't playing ball. He brayed so much that local police came to investigate, forcing the three thieves to ditch the mule - and the goodies - and run.
Shop owner Fabio Orozco told The Telegraph: "They came through the roof to rob. They took rum, rice, everything."
Fortunately he got all his products back and after a 12-hour stay in the cop shop the donkey was picked up by his owner. The crooks are still at large.
