If your view of New York is based solely around what you see on film then you'll think that everyone's neurotic, there's crime on every corner and aliens, robots and asteroids are a weekly problem.

If this accurately describes you then you'll probably think these postcards haven't been modified at all.

The awesome set of 'Holidaying Horrors' cards take classic Manhattan scenes and add a nightmarish monster to the mix. UK-based designer Anthony Hibbert used some impressive Photoshop skills to make it seem as if New York really is under attack.

We're amused and impressed and maybe a bit scared.

You can check out his work here.
