Truck Crashes Out Of New York Building
17 August 2011

First rule of journalism school: dog bites man is not a news story. Man bites dog, on the other hand, is a news story. So using that premise we felt compelled to pen words in honour of this truck in New York which has crashed not into a building (that would not be newsworthy), but rather out.

It’s not been revealed how Robert Legall, the driver of the Department of Sanitation salt spreading truck lost control of his vehicle on the second floor of the building in Queens, but it’s certainly made for a striking image.

Thankfully, no one was injured and Legall was rescued following the arrival of firefighters.
