Wiz Khalifa restrained at an airport for riding a ‘hoverboard’

Guns. Drugs. Hover boards.

The list of reasons why rappers are detained at airports has now grown an unlikely addition after Wiz Khalifa was manhandled by security at LAX for riding the latter yesterday.

But before you go and start throwing names like Mattel and Lexus around, there’s been no confirmation of precisely which tech he was riding on, with some reports even claiming he was incurring the wrath of jobsworth security officers with this two-wheeled contraption.

Either way, according to the man himself, Khalifa was forced to lie belly-down on the airport carpet because he "didn’t want to ditch the technology everyone will be using in the next six months". Shame the overbearing Customs and Border Protection officers didn't share his view as footage went viral of them holding him down and asking him not to resist.

They didn't say anything about not Tweeting though, and minutes after being bundled over, and not at all sounding like a mad man, the rapper let loose with arguably the greatest Tweet of all time: "I stand for our generation and our generation is going to be riding hover boards, so if you don't like it eat a dick!"

Quite. Our generation's new tech deity also used the social media site to poke fun at the 'cops' by saying that they'll soon be powerless to stop other hoverboard riders when everyone's using them, some on models he's designed himself.

Anyway, who the hell needs to fly when you’ve got a hoverboard?
