Last night's star-studded Grammys saw the first major musical tribute to the late, great David Bowie and it came from Lady Gaga, who ran through a frenzied medley of the Starman's hits.
Ably assisted by musical director Nile Rodgers - who produced his 1983 hit album Let's Dance, as well as 1993's Black Tie White Noise - it featured nine different songs over the course of six minutes, along with a host of special effects and costume changes.
It was not without its critics, with some not feeling the super-charged medley approach:
However, for the attention-deficit era that we live in, it was perhaps a good way of holding everyone's gaze, showing just how many great songs he was responsible for - and no one could deny Gaga's passion in paying tribute to one of her heroes.
Nile Rodgers himself summed it up with the following tweet:
