Ghosts exist and here’s the photo that proves it. Probably…

Staff at a hotel in Shropshire are convinced there’s a ghost stalking it’s Hitchcockian halls after a guest snapped a strange apparition in his bedroom.

Douglas Patterson, 27, was apparently alone in bed when, in the middle of the night, he noticed a strange light coming into his bedroom. And then, for reasons that remain unclear, instead of, you know, trying to actually find out what it was he immediately took a picture.

In the morning he checked the camera and was surprised to see a strange white figure in his photo and immediately assumed in must be a ghost instead of a trick of the light, or any of the other millions of more likely options.

Patterson said: “There was definitely nothing there when I took the picture.”

(Well, obviously Dougie, there was)

The sales manager of the hotel, Lindsay Steele, added: “We’ve had reports of furniture knocking, footsteps along the back corridor, but never anything this conclusive before.”

So there you have it: the first “conclusive” proof in the history of the world that ghosts exist is a photo of a white splotch.

We’re convinced.
