Former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge named UFO Researcher of the Year

Often we wonder where the bands of our formative youth are now. Tom DeLonge makes us wish we hadn’t asked because it turns out he’s a space basher, having left Blink-182 to focus on a career as an alien enthusiast and conspiracy theorist.

That was back in 2015 and since then he has insisted he has encountered aliens in Area 51 and that his knowledge of the extraterrestrial is a threat to his life as the government taps his communications.

In a strange twist, DeLonge was also involved in the fallout from Hillary Clinton’s email leaks during her campaign, which revealed he had been emailing the potential president’s campaign manager John Podesta, who also happens to be a E.T enthusiast, about a meeting to discuss developments (which actually happened BTW).

But this is not new news. DeLonge has been spaced out for the last twenty years, speaking to scientists and outing them on the “reality of this stuff”. In his own words, he is way past talking to the little green man, and it would seem that Open Minds Productions agrees.

Open Minds Productions refers to itself as the “International UFO Congress” and have just awarded DeLonge UFO Researcher of the Year for his “groundbreaking work”.

In his acceptance speech, the punk rocker says he’s not done yet:

“I can’t tell you what I’m about to announce… I said there’s going to be an announcement within the next 60-ish days.

“I want you all to know in the UFO community, whoever’s passionate about this paradigm shifting subject matter, I need you all to look really, really closely at that announcement and I need you to be a part of it. Because what that announcement is about is so much more than what it will look like on the surface.”

The video below is definitely worth a watch:

As he says, he’s “into some serious shit”. In fact, his latest book about the role of the government in covering up information about UFOs and other life forms, called Sekret Machines: Godsis out March 7. It’s set to be the first in a series of three investigative books and follows last year’s fictional release Chasing Shadows

He’s also working on a skateboarding/aliens feature film called Strange Times

Which is quite the world away from literally rocking out with his cock out.
