Sick of iPhone 6 mania? This new product on Kickstarter may be just the tonic.
Back in August, Ohio resident Zach Danger Brown raised over $55,000 on Kickstarter to fund a potato salad he was intending to make.
Now, in that same inspirational entrepreneurial vein, comes NoPhone, a "technology-free alternative to constant hand-to-phone contact", which "acts as a surrogate to any smart mobile device, enabling you to always have a rectangle of smooth, cold plastic to clutch without forgoing any potential engagement with your direct environment."
The plastic block has already raised $2,506 of its $30,000 target. Those wishing to throw their support (and, of course, money) behind the project have until 11th October to buy a literal slab of mobile innovation.
Some benefits, as far as we can see, are as follows:
- NoPhone works as well above ground as it does below ground.
- There is no need to raise your voice or jab your finger in your spare ear when using NoPhone.
- NoPhone is unlikely to one day contain a U2 album without your consent.
For $12 each, NoPhone backers will receive a brand new model (complete with instruction manual). Those who pledge $18, however, will receive a deluxe NoPhone with Selfie Upgrade (yup: it’s a stick-on mirror).
Meanwhile, those wishing to pledge $5,000 will receive a personally delivered NoPhone, anywhere in the world. It should be noted that this unmissable investment opportunity is limited to just five, however.

At the very least, NoPhone could be used to scoop food into your mouth.
Maybe starting with that potato salad you bought on the internet?
