Here's where you should live if you want to be rich

Norway.JPG

On top of moody crime dramas and smoked fish, Scandinavia has a new export: millionaires.

At least that's what a new study by The Pew Research Centre suggests, in which they collated the top countries in the world for high income (with high incomes defined as $50+ per day).

Scandinavian countries dominate the list with Norway clinching the top spot, closely followed by Denmark.

North Europe in general features strongly, with Luxembourg, Holland and Germany all featuring in the top five.

Lower down the top 10 are Canada, the US and Australia, all of whom beat the UK (we come in at 11th).

According to Pew definitions, 42% of the UK would be classed as high income - compared to 55.7% in the States and 77.2% in Norway.

Better get packing - and don't skimp on the woolly jumpers.
