First Teaser Trailer For Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight'

First Teaser Trailer For Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight'

First Teaser Trailer For Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight'
17 April 2015

And boy do we mean "teaser".

The internet lost its collective 'shit' for film trailers last night. Star Wars fans wept openly over their keyboards at the sight of Han and Chewie  in the new The Force Awakens trailer, while DC loyalists began grinding their axes over the underwhelming footage leaked from the new Batman vs Superman trailer.

Amidst the chaos, a more sensible film snippet snuck its way onto the web. Having been building for what feels like years, Quentin Tarantino's new Western, The Hateful Eight, now has a trailer, and it's gloriously atmospheric.

While you don't get to see any of the stellar cast (which includes the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leig and Channing Tatum) pass the spittoon around, the teaser establishes the atmosphere of the piece succinctly: typical of Tarantino, it's a character-driven affair, with each of the eight titular figures having a clear identity splashed vividly across the screen.
