Final Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer

Spoiler warning: the title of this film gives away significant details as to its plot and eventual finale. But you probably worked that out already.

After a rather spectacular teaser trailer emerged at the close of 2013, we've been quietly excited by this somewhat forgotten blockbuster of the summer.

Humanity has struggled to cope with the outbreak of the Simian Flu that concluded the events of Rise, while Caesar (Andy Serkis) has established a successful colony of apes beyond the ruins of San Francisco. When tensions begin to mount between a group of human survivors and Caesar's settlement, it's up to Casear and the increasingly sympathetic human Malcolm (Jason Clarke) to persuade their own kinds that war isn't the option.

It doesn't appear to go to well - but by golly does it look good when things go bad.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is at cinemas nationwide from 17 July
