Never mind long-lens shots and whispered rumours – it’s our honour (in your face, North Norfolk News) to present a world exclusive first look at the teaser poster for Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.

In February we spent a day on set speaking to the cast and crew. The main story – a media conglomerate takes over North Norfolk Digital – has already been discussed. It’s this event that’s the eventual catalyst for a siege situation which Partridge (Steve Coogan) finds himself at the centre of.

Without giving too much away, we witnessed a sequence that features a Speed-style chase aboard a radio roadshow bus, hostages, pivotal roles for Michael and Lynn, armed police and Alan singing a Seventies pop classic at a very inopportune moment.

“It’s about the little man against the system,” said Coogan. “It’s cinematic, but done in a very parochial way.”

Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa is at cinemas nationwide from 7 August
