These crazy gifs will change the way you look at classic paintings forever

We often find ourselves wondering what Leonardo da Vinci would have been up to if he'd been born today. Really.

Armed with far more power than just a paintbrush, for our money, he'd have probably been a Photoshop and gif whizz, and almost certainly friends with the brilliant artist Kiszkiloszki, who specialises in taking classic paintings and turning them into truly crazy animated gifs.

Undoubtedly inspired by the likes of Monty Python's genius Terry Gilliam, take a look at our ten favourites below and twist your mind, just for a few moments.

You can check out his Tumblr blog right here for more weird and wonderful creations.

Content Director

As Content Director of Shortlist, Marc likes nothing more than to compile endless lists of an evening by candlelight. He started out life as a movie writer for numerous (now defunct) magazines and soon found himself online - editing a gaggle of gadget sites, including TechRadar, Digital Camera World and Tom's Guide UK. At Shortlist you'll find him mostly writing about movies and tech, so no change there then.
