People are sharing the kindest thing a stranger has ever done for them

It can be hard to be positive when you look at the news. Brexit, Trump, rail prices, house prices, climate change, homelessness, politics… it’s a pretty overwhelming landscape at the moment.

It’s important to keep up with what’s going on at the world. But taking some time to look at the positives can be a big boost.

So this thread, started by writer Nicole Cliffe, was just what we needed.

Her question was simple: what is the kindest thing a stranger has done or said to you?

People’s responses range from the genuinely tear-jerking to the sweetly funny. 

And one story was genuinely amazing. 

So if you needed an excuse to go out and perform a random act of kindness, here it is – you never know whose day you’re going to change.
