Jonny Lee Miller becomes Sherlock

Yes, another one

Jonny Lee Miller becomes Sherlock
15 February 2012

Ah recreating Sherlock for 21st century audiences. The idea so good they had it three times.

After Hollywood turned the super sleuth into a wisecracking ass-kicker in the shape of Robert Downey Jr, Warner Bros raked in over $1bn (£636m) as a result. The BBC soon followed suit and Benedict Cumberbatch's take became a huge ratings success with around 9m viewers following the updated mysteries.

Enough, you cry. No way, CBS replies. The US TV network has cast Jonny Lee Miller as the detective in yet another modern spin on the classic. Elementary will see the Trainspotting and Dexter star solving crimes in New York, rather than London.

It's non-stop Sherlock elsewhere with a third Downey Jr film and a third Cumberbatch series also on the way.

What do you think? Too much Sherlock?
