If you have even a passing interest in the film industry, you'll be aware that nothing is sacred.
On that note, we bring you the news that a sequel to the Scorsese classic Raging Bull is prepping to shoot this summer. Without Scorsese. Without De Niro. Without Pesci. Without hope.
Based on Jake LaMotta's follow-up novel, written with Chris Anderson and Sharon McGehee, the film will examine the earlier life of the boxer as well as his later days. As the whole damn thing is moving forward without involvement from Scorsese or De Niro, you'll probably be expecting some hefty replacements, huh?
Well, don't get your hopes up. It's being directed by Martin Guigui, the guy behind National Lampoon's Cattle Call while William Forsythe (picture 2, above) is stepping into De Niro's intimidating shoes. You might recognise him from The Rock, Raising Arizona or Once Upon A Time In America.
Unsure is probably an understatement at this point but if you think that you've got the chops to take on a key role for yourself, you can check out the detailed casting call right here.
Let us know how you get on. You'll be able to find us weeping into our boxing gloves.
