Peter Serafinowicz and his iPad

hero_ltr_198.jpg

“Although I primarily use my iPad for tweeting — my feed is essentially a joke valve attached to my brain — the reason I love it is that it’s made me read again. I’ve read more books in the past year than I have in the past 10. The screen resolution is great for reading in bed, and the Kindle app syncs books across all platforms. When I open a book on my iPhone it knows what page I’m up to.

“Compared to what I did a few years ago — carry a big, heavy bag of books and magazines — there’s no contest. I’ve started to eye my bookshelf the same way as my CD collection: a waste of space. I can almost see the books recoil in terror when I pick up my iPad…”

Peter Serafinowicz hosts Orange Film To Go ‘Film Night Live’ show every Thursday at 8pm; orange.co.uk/filmtogo
