Cavemen spoke like Yoda they did

YODA_CT086.jpg

Furthering our belief that everything in Star Wars is loosely based on real life, this latest study shows that Yoda's unique way of talking has a distant caveman origin.

Researchers believe that all language came from one which was spoken in Africa some 50,000 years ago. A new study suggests that it followed the same order as Yoda-speak. This means that cavemen would construct sentences in the format "subject-object-verb" so they might have said "I ShortList love" rather than "I love ShortList".

The research paper was published by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, where a detailed family tree was created of different languages, leading them to their conclusions.

It's a way of speaking that can still be found in many languages around the world. In fact, more than half of the 2,000 modern languages use this word order, such as Russian and German. This means that we're actually surrounded by Yodas.

See, Star Wars is real.
