11 Incredibly Out Of Context Quotes From Our Interview With Poldark's Aidan Turner

He's handsome, hairy and hopeless with a scythe - it's Aidan Turner, aka the star of smash BBC drama, Poldark.

The 31-year-old Irish actor is this week's ShortList cover star. To celebrate, we've put together this exclusive gallery of fantastic portraits, shot by photographer David Venni.

Of course, one photo in particular has come to define Turner, who has also starred in Being Human and The Hobbit.

So how did he get that incredible physique? And does it make him feel like he's being objectified? Click through our gallery, or read the cover feature, to find out.

Oh, and for the record, he does know how to use a scythe, he just thought his style of hacking was better for the camera...
