Gervais and Brand do The Simpsons

russell_brand-the_simpsons.png

Taking a very swift swipe at the Golden Globes, Ricky Gervais and Russell Brand lent their voices to last night's episode of The Simpsons.

Ridiculing the recent awards ceremony, the clip below shows Gervais playing up his role as America's favourite new villain while Brand goes through the nominations for a number of spoof animated shorts. Keep your eyes peeled for brief appearances from Elton John and Lady Gaga.

Last night's episode also featured a surprise cameo from Halle Berry, taking part in the general awards tomfoolery just in time for this Sunday's Oscars.
