Now, there are two schools of thought on the upcoming adaptation of Cloud Atlas, the much-loved novel by David Mitchell.

Some people are convinced it's going to be a groundbreaking masterpiece, like nothing we've ever seen before while the others are worried it's going to be utterly, unforgivably nuts.

After seeing this new trailer, we're veering towards using the 'm' word.

Directed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) and Andy and Lana Wachowski (The Matrix), it's an epic tale spanning time and genre and from this stunning tease, we think it might be rather special. It stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Susan Sarandon, Ben Whishaw and Jim Broadbent.

What do you think?

Cloud Atlas is released on March 22nd
