Moody First Trailer For Marvel's Fantastic Four

1.jpg

If there were one word to describe Marvel’s cinematic output of late, 'fantastic' would be putting it mildly.

Even so, here’s your first eyeful of the studio’s next superhero blockbuster, Fantastic Four, which bosses hope will hit more of a note with audiences than the forgettable 2005 effort and 2007's apt washout of a sequel Rise Of The Silver Surfer (featuring Captain America's Chris Evans, oddly enough).

Starring Whiplash’s Miles Teller as the stretchy one, Michael B Jordan as the fiery one, Kate Mara as the invisible one and Jamie Bell as the rock-like one, the cast is certainly younger and starrier than the previous incarnation.

Living up to its name, the action in the first look teaser looks huge, with the atmosphere suitably moodier than the last films as the foursome appear to fight dark forces, with Teller’s Reed Richards getting truly intense for one interesting scene involving electricity.

Enough of us. Give it a watch below and come up with your own adjective.

Fantastic Four hits cinemas on 6 August
