Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit Trailer

As Ben Affleck prepares to take on the role of Batman, we're reminded of the franchise non-starters he was also involved in. Aside from the obvious (blind superhero), it's easy to forget that he was Jack Ryan back in the 2002 thriller The Sum Of All Fears.

11 years later and we have our first look at the video game-sounding Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, another reboot of the literary action hero, created by Tom Clancy who sadly passed away this week.

This time, Chris Pine takes on the central role, taking us back to the very start of Ryan's career as a CIA analyst. He's joined by Kevin Costner as mentor, Keira Knightley as girlfriend and Kenneth Branagh as villain and director.
